At Heidelberg, you can participate in service experiences that meet community needs and help foster civic responsibility. You'll develop leadership skills, empathy and understanding, and learn more about yourself through the process. Our students serve locally and throughout the United States.

Berg Service Challenge
Heidelberg wants to challenge students, faculty, and staff to think about service as a lifelong commitment. To complete the Berg Service Challenge you must volunteer 10 hours each semester at a local organization of your choice. There are numerous organizations, agencies, and churches that are working together to make the city of Tiffin as strong as possible and they need your help.

Alternative Break Trips
Travel with your friends, faculty and staff mentors on trips near and far where you will serve, learn and have fun. Alternative Spring or Winter Break Trips incorporate a service component, outings to discover the community, and group reflection time. You could volunteer to build houses with Habitat for Humanity, teach English to elementary students in Nicaragua, or help those impacted by the hurricane in Biloxi, MS. Come ready to be transformed by the people you're going to meet.
